 The Programme

The innovative Chhattisgarh Tribal Development Programme has been formulated after in-depth study and discussion at various levels by IFAD. IFAD is a specialized agency of UN established mainly for assisting the developing countries in poverty alleviation.
The objective of the programme would be to develop and implement a replicable model that ensures house hold food security and improves livelihood opportunities and overall quality of life of the Tribal population based on the sustainable and equitable use of natural resources. The goal of the programme is to promote sustainable improvement in the food and livelihood security and general quality of life of the target group.
